A royal holiday dinner, spectacular silent and live auction and entertainment by the legendary Ho’okena will be an evening to remember.

Proceeds from the event will help Habitat for Humanity build simple, decent, and affordable homes for families in West Hawaii, and help on-going restoration and preservation efforts at Hulihe’e Palace.

Surfboard Donated from Professional Surfer Rob Machado

Own a piece of surfing history with this custom shaped Al Merrick surfboard ridden and donated by Pipe Master Champion Rob Machado.    Measuring 5 feet 11 inches tall, 18 and 1/8th inches wide and 2 and 1/8th inches thick, this squash tail, three-finned thruster, is guaranteed to deliver.   Known for his Zen-like flow both on land and in the water, Machado was consistently seeded at the top of the rankings as a competitor on the ASP World Tour. Andy Carlson is a photographer and film maker born and raised on the Big Island.  The beauty of the ocean and natural island landscape is what inspires Andy as he strives to capture a unique vision of his subject.  This photograph titled “Red Turtle Island” was shot at Kukio Beach and is part of the popular Island Series.  The pictures in the Island Series offer a unique 360-degree view of the area in which they were taken.  Each photo is comprised of three 180-degree photos, taken in a different angle of view from the same position.  The three individual photos are then stitched together to create a single panorama.  This photo is custom framed and mounted in native Ohia wood by Chad Bircher of CDB Woodworking.     www.andersimagery.com         www.cdbwoodworking.com        Value: $1000.00

Born and raised in Honolulu, Terry has always drawn and sketched since first being exposed to art growing up.  While earning his Masters in Architecture he minored in drawings and painting, however it wasn’t until he moved to Kailua-Kona in 1980 that he started using water colors as a medium.  He felt that the brightness that can be achieved with watercolors was a perfect fit for the light and waterscapes of the Kona Coast.   In “Early Morning Shadow on Ke’ei Beach Road” the artist was trying to capture the patterns of coconuts against the sky and quickly changing shadow on the sandy beach road.   More about Terry and his artwork can be seen through his website ciscoartkona.com.     Valued at $2,200.00

Every year thousands flock to Kailua Village to watch the start of the Ironman World Championship from Kailua Pier.  The Ironman is always an exciting an event for Kailua-Kona and one that is an experience to watch first hand.  The Palace grounds have always been available for viewing the start of this monumental race, but for next year’s event the Palace is auctioning off the opportunity to watch the start from the top balcony.  Along with a continental breakfast and champagne for 10 guests, the start of the race can be viewed like no other experience.    Value:   $1500.00
